Embrace Action: Why You Should Stop Waiting for the Right Time.

new zestfulness website no more waiting

What are you waiting for?

A new job. Asking someone out. Ending a relationship that isn’t working. Starting that podcast, writing that first post, or finally booking the haircut you’ve been thinking about for six months.

We all have a version of the thing we keep putting off, convinced the timing just isn’t right yet. We think that we need a little more time, a little more certainty, a little more readiness before we begin.

What is that one thing you’ve been putting off? Most importantly, when will you stop waiting for the right time?

There’s a fine balance between waiting to feel prepared and actually taking action. But sometimes, in all that waiting, we miss out. Opportunities that once felt possible quietly disappear. The longer we wait, the more doors gently close.

Have you ever noticed someone who’s had a health scare and come out the other side with completely different energy? They’re lighter somehow, more alive and more present.

They stop putting things off and start doing them, because the life is short has stopped being a cliché and started being real. There’s a spring in their step and a certainty that wasn’t there before. For them, they understand that waiting may no longer be an option. They have stopped waiting for the right time.

I’ve been playing the waiting game myself. I’ve been waiting for the “right moment” to relaunch Zestfulness for a while now. But there was always a reason not to do it. The kids had a virus, I had a virus, even the dog had a virus. Life, as it tends to do, kept getting in the way. While I was waiting, it felt like everyone had suddenly become a life coach. That’s when the doubt crept in: Can I still do this? Can I still be a great coach when I’m in messy, stained “mum clothes” with a beehive hairstyle?

The fear I felt about relaunching wasn't a sign I shouldn’t do it. It was a sign that I care deeply about this and this caring energy is exactly what I want to bring to this work.

Fear doesn’t have to mean stop. Sometimes it just means "this matters". Failing is not the worst outcome, never trying is. When we fail, we’re living, learning, growing. When we keep waiting, we stay on the sidelines, ruminating, doubting, quietly accumulating regret for the things left undone.

So… is it time for you to stop waiting?

If it is, take a deep breath.Take the leap. Take one step forward. Say yes to opportunities, to learning, to growth, and even to the possibility of failure. Because at least you had the courage to try.

So this is me, stepping forward.

Holding back, waiting, playing it safe - none of that sounds very zesty to me.

If you’re navigating your own waiting season, Zestfulness is here to help you stay energised, focused, and growing
